4.‘Conventual Treasures of La Orotava’ Tourist Route, conducted by ‘El Tesoro de La Concepción’ Sacred Museum.
You will visit those conventual temples that still survive, as well as the different elements of the disappeared monasteries that are scattered throughout the historic centre. The chapel of the San Agustín church and the choir, the church of San Francisco, the cloister, the ruins of the temple of San Lorenzo and its surroundings. You will also have the opportunity to see a small sample of the pieces of furniture of conventual origin that the Sacred Museum owns. The visit will finish with a tasting of Canarian monacal pastries among which you can enjoy the ‘Alfeñiques de San Nicolás’, sweets prepared by the Dominican nuns of the convent of San Nicolás, Bishop of La Orotava and ‘Escaques distintos’, of the Dominican convent of San Pedro de Hermigua, among others that we have rescued for the occasion.
