53. Doña Chana Cultural Park

  Nature, Culture and Architectural Heritage are twinned in the authentic urban green lung that this Cultural Park is, characterized by its large tree species, its cultivated descending terraces presided over by the Villa Remedios mansion, popularly known as the House of ‘Doña Chana’ in honour of its last inhabitant. This is a singular eclectic building that looks like an English cottage, erected in the 1930s, and characterized by its volume and the ornamental sense that prevails in its architecture. The Municipal Environmental Education Centre (CEAM) is found in this beautiful place; as well as the Ecological Urban Vegetable Gardens, an Exhibition Hall and some municipal facilities where the Orotava Music Band rehearses.
